Our place facing the sea

Gites d'Asnelles in Calvados in Normandy facing the sea,

Asnelles is a seaside village located on the Côte de Nacre (Mother-of-Pearl Coast) in Calvados, 12 km from Bayeux and 2 km from Arromanches. Its beach is renowned as one of the most beautiful in the region, hence its nickname: Asnelles, the beautiful beach.
A water sports center, open year-round, offers activities for all ages; the Asnelles Land Sailing Club is a certified Land Sailing School. The club boasts several champions who participated in the 2008 World Land Sailing Championships.

Asnelles was able to keep the quality of life and environment of the real seaside village: there are no buildings, no resort in front of the sea, just small houses, a seafront reserved for pedestrians and a magnificent beach; The old Asnelles has kept its soul as an ancient fishing village, with its stone houses loaded with years, its alleys with the names of yesteryear and its small paths which lead to the countryside and the hinterland.

Quiet beach in Asnelles with soft waves and an old concrete rampart on the water, surrounded by green cliffs.
